Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all orders for celebration cakes from Sugar Bowl Bakes. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Deposit

A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your celebration cake order. The deposit will be invoiced and must be paid before the order is confirmed. If you need to change the date or move your event, please contact us. While we will attempt to accommodate, this is not guaranteed. If a change is not possible, the deposit will not be refunded.

Final Payment

The final balance for your cake is due by the date specified during booking. No refunds will be issued once the final payment has been made. If you need to change the date or move your event after the final payment is made, please contact us. While we will attempt to accommodate, if we are unable to, neither the deposit nor final payment will be refunded.

Changes

Any changes to the size, style, or flavours of your cake must be finalised by the final payment date. Changes requested after the final payment date may not be guaranteed and may incur additional charges.

Allergens

Products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk.

Photographs

Sugar Bowl Bakes reserves the right to use photographs of your cake for promotional purposes, including on social media and in advertising, without compensation to

Collection or Delivery

Collection: Cakes must be collected from our business premises, which will be provided upon booking. You must transport the cake on a flat surface (e.g., the footwell of your car or the boot). Sugar Bowl Bakes is not responsible for any damage incurred once the cake leaves our premises.

Delivery: We do not deliver cakes to homes. Delivery may be available to venues that hold Public Liability Insurance (PLI). If you require delivery, please contact us at the time of booking to discuss arrangements.

Storing Your Cake

If collecting your cake before the event, please request storage instructions. As a general guide, a fully decorated cake should be stored in a cool room, away from direct sunlight. Buttercream cakes should be refrigerated if left overnight.

Creating Your Cake

If a cake flavour is not specified at time of booking, we will bake a vanilla sponge filled with jam and buttercream as this is our most popular flavour for celebration cakes.

Cake design is a creative and organic process. We will do our best to replicate your chosen design as closely as possible, but we reserve the right to make last-minute adjustments if necessary to achieve the best result.

Disclaimer

If you have an issue with your cake, please contact us immediately upon collection. Refunds will only be issued if Sugar Bowl Bakes agrees with the issue. To be eligible for a refund, the uneaten cake must be returned on the same day for inspection.

Mitigating Circumstances

If unforeseen circumstances prevent us from fulfilling your order, we will offer a full refund and, where possible, assist in sourcing an alternative local baker to fulfil your order.
