Final Payment
Should you have a remaining balance, it must be paid no later than 6 weeks before the wedding. If payment is not received prior to the event I reserve the right to refuse your order. Should any unforeseen circumstances arise and you feel you need to cancel your wedding rather than make postponements all payments made will be held. With this in mind, I would urge all couples to have wedding insurance in place. Should you wish to pay your balance ahead of the 6 week deadline no refunds can be issued. Should you need to move your wedding to a new location or date please get in touch asap and I will do all I can to accommodate the change however if this is not possible final payments are non refundable, additional fees may apply for date changes. Final payments can not be transferred to celebration cake bookings.
Changes
The date of your final payment is the final date for any changes of size, style or flavours of the cake. Any changes requested after this date cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges. Changes in design or size will not result in lowering your final invoice from the quote accepted at time of booking. Please ensue you read your paperwork which details the agreed design chosen as this is what is used when creating your cake. If you find an error with your design you must notify me before final payment is made so that I can make the appropriate changes needed.
Flowers
If fresh flowers are provided by an outside source, you acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants and may cause reactions. Fresh flowers will be dipped in an edible wax to ensure the stems do not seep into the cake, however this does not eliminate all cross contamination therefore fresh flowers are used at the risk of the client, with no liability taken by Sugar Bowl Bakes. It is best to speak to your florist and myself before ordering fresh flowers for your cake.

Cancellations
Should you need to cancel your wedding for any reason I ask that you contact me as soon as you can. The booking fee is non refundable. If you cancel before final payment is due there will be no further action required from either party. Should you cancel within 6 weeks of your wedding the final balance must still be paid as part of our contract, if it has not yet been paid on time. When booking your wedding cake, I allocate a set time frame to complete your order in my diary, should you cancel the week of your wedding, on notify me I will immediately cease work on your order. This allocated time can not be reclaimed for another date or time, therefore no refunds will be issued.
Mitigating Circumstances
We will do our utmost to ensure that your order is fulfilled but should unforeseen circumstances prevent this, we will offer a full refund and also try to source another local and trusted baker to fulfil your order. As a very last resort a dummy cake will be offered for use on the day to allow you to have photos taken ‘cutting’ the cake.
If you have any questions regarding any of the above, please get in touch.
